Church Council Corner

  • The Treasurer’s Report included the very good news that the PPP loan has met all requirements and is in the next step of the review process for full forgiveness.

  • February financials indicate a favorable income from offerings, yet a small deficit remains.

  • Council would like to remind congregants that our $25k/month operating expenses continue despite our inability to worship in-person for the time being and asks that all remember to support Faith Financially through regular contributions.

  • Please note that giving online is now easier than ever, and can be done by clicking the buttons in the daily boost, or going to faithalive.com/giving.

  • One source of income that will be studied, and adjusted as possible, is the facility use fee that has not been increased for several years.

  • Pastor Sarah is settling into Faith Place, and is happily working on converting that space back to a comfortable Parsonage! She’s even lovingly deemed it Faith Palace.

  • David Chamberlain accepted the offer to join this month’s meeting, and shared thoughts and ideas for significant fundraising at Faith. This led to lively learning, brainstorming, and thinking that will be pursued in further discussions!

  • Last year, we had to table our plans for Faith’s 75th Anniversary celebration, but Council has determined that the time has come to resume planning! More details forthcoming.

  • Council also discussed the retirement of our Sexton, Dennis Hart. Dennis has held this position for about 20 years and will retire on March 26. We will miss him greatly, and are discussing plans for grounds management in his absence. This may mean the return of Work Days for periodic campus projects!
