Jim Sage

Director of Music Ministries

Jim Sage grew up in Rochester, New York. Before moving to Los Angeles in 1981, he attended the State University of New York where he received the degree Bachelor of Science in Composition and Music Theory, and the degree Master of Music in Piano Performance. He has performed as a recital accompanist in Los Angeles, Boston, Mexico, and The Netherlands. While living in LA, he served as Chair of Fine Arts at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Cañada, and Director of Music at Holy Family Church in South Pasadena. Moving to Phoenix in 2005, he was Director of Music & Liturgy at St. Theresa Parish and retired from the Diocese of Phoenix in 2015. From January of 2017 until Easter Sunday of that year, Jim served as interim music director at Faith Lutheran Church.
