What’s going on at Faith Place?
That’s a great question!
As you know, Pastor Sarah Upham-Birdsall has recently gotten married, and is therefore moving in with her partner in a house that is not on Faith’s campus. This leaves us with a whole house that we brought up to livable code, and no one to live in it! So what is a church to do?
Dave Hulin will tell you what to do! Contact Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest and offer the space for a refugee family.
We are in the process of turning Faith Place into Faith Palace, as Pastor Sarah once lovingly called it, and we need your help. Right now, we have a number of sofas, coffee tables, kitchen appliances, dishes, and the like but if we are to host a refugee family here, they need somewhere to sleep! We are aiming to equip Faith Place with three bedrooms, so we are in need of beds and bedding. We have already received one donation of a twin sized mattress, so if you’ve got a mattress, box spring or bedframe that you need to get out of the house, contact Dave Hulin or Carly Chamberlain to see whether we’ve got space for the item you’re shedding.
If you have any other items that would be helpful for a refugee family, please contact the church office to find out whether it is needed!
