An acknowledgement
I want to thank a person that gave me many opportunities to give to others and have gladness doing it.
I remember, in a loving way, "oh oh, here comes Fred." I would smile because I knew, here comes a man who walks with God.
Thank you, Fred Cowley.
With Love,
Caroline Rowlett
Pride 2021
Thanks to Pastor Sarah & Jane Upham Birdsall, every Johnstonbaugh, King, Ross & Biles, Judi Tyler, Mel Torres, Gail Turner, Jan Hulin, Dave Hulin, and all who made financial contributions to Faith to make sure we were able to represent at Pride this year. If you’ve got stories to share about your own experiences at Phoenix Pride (this year or ever), or photos that you haven’t sent me yet, please send them to Carly Chamberlain at info@faithalive.com.
In the meantime, check out these babes!
This Week
I know, I know. This Week at Faith is usually your favorite article because you just love my weekly musings. I’m going to have to deprive you of it again this week, for no reason other than that I want to highlight YOU. Here are a few highlights though:
The transition into Breeze, our church management software, is going swimmingly. You might say it’s a breeze. We’ll have more fun information in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to share.
Church council met on Tuesday night. Keep your eyes peeled next week for this month’s installation of Church Council Corner. It was a good one.
I found out on Wednesday morning that there would be a Veteran’s Day Parade happening right here on our own little corner on Thursday. That was a fun surprise to work around!
Attendance at Morning Prayer (in the chapel at 8:30am on Tuesdays) was higher this week than it’s ever been!
Our Wednesday morning Bible Study finished the book of Revelation this week. Join next Wednesday at 10:30 in the church office or by Zoom to study Hebrews!
We’ve been busy at work trimming and chopping pesky trees that yield a lot of flowers, leaves, allergies and complaints.
I got my covid booster!
And a fun anecdote: the trip I took in September was for a pal’s Bachelorette party. You would assume that one would prepare herself for a wedding as well if she’s attended a bachelorette party, right? Not this girl! I forgot that I’d be out of town THIS WEEKEND. Fortunately, Pastor Sarah remembered my schedule, so she’ll be here on Monday morning (11/15) to man the phones if you’re in need. Please call before 1pm because we’re making a one-day-only return to our old office hours of 9am to 1pm.
