Donate to LSS-SW for I-HELP
Remember during Advent when Hannah Miller, Director at Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) came and told us about their varying programs? We always have opportunities to give, but for Arizona Gives Day this year, LSS-SW is raising (and matching!) $20,000 to go toward the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP)
If you don’t already receive the LSS-SW newsletters, here’s what they have to say about Arizona Gives Day:
Arizona Gives Day is an opportunity for generous people to make a collective impact for local nonprofit organizations, like Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest. This year, we need your help to raise $20,000 to fill the gaps in our Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) and Aging & Disability Services.
Your support is needed to stabilize the lives of people experiencing homelessness, vulnerable older adults and people with disabilities. These groups of people are often overlooked. You can make sure they know that they are not forgotten.
As one former I-HELP guest said, "I needed a chance. They gave that to me. Without I-HELP, I wouldn't be where I am today, without a question or a doubt." Now this community member lives in her own apartment and continues to volunteer to help people experiencing homelessness. Your support extends far beyond providing a safe night's sleep. It becomes a lifetime of stability.
Gifts made on or before Arizona Gives Day will be matched by up to $20,000, thanks to a generous donation from Jim and Carolyn Eggert as a challenge to join them in making a difference.
Will you make a commitment to care for vulnerable adults with your donation on Arizona Gives Day?
