Re-Formation, Pt 4

Well! Did you hear Pr. Miguel Gomez-Acosta’s sermon on Sunday? WOW! That was the sermon we needed to hear at this time, in this place…and could not have fit better with these Re-Formation emphasis thoughts and plans. The Holy Spirit surely is at work here, in this place, leading us and nudging us to be open to grow, to change with and for the times ahead. To be willing to BUILD on what worked in the past, to let go of what just doesn’t fit anymore, to BRAVELY forge new ways of carrying out the Ministries of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. You are wanted, needed, and essential to this.

The Church Council is willing to commit to proactive work to continue to build on the foundations established here 76 years ago, to continue to seek to be true to the message of 500 years ago when the reformation took on issues head on, to apply the Gospel of 2000 years ago to today’s world situations. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively, both here in this place and with our neighbors. Take part!
