July 4: American Independence Day, Ice cream smorgasbord in Parish Hall after 9am service. Building Sack Lunches for Grace Lutheran Church’s Heat Respite program.

July 5: Church Office Closed.

July 6: Church Office hours change to 9am - 4pm, Monday through Thursday. Sack lunches delivered to Grace.

July 8: 76th Anniversary of the original charter.

July 11: 7th Sunday after Pentecost. Vicar Veronica Alvarez preaches. Spanish service resumes at 11am.

July 13: Church Council Meeting.

July 18: 8th Sunday after Pentecost. New Member class at 1pm in Parish Hall.

July 19: Final day for submissions to FLC Logo Contest

August 1: 10th Sunday after Pentecost. Sack lunches for Grace after 9am service. New Member Class at 1pm in Parish Hall (Cancelled).

August 3: Sack lunches delivered to Grace Lutheran Church’s Heat Respite program. Executive Team Meeting at 6pm.

August 7: Church Council retreat in the Chapel at Faith.

August 9-31: Pastor Sarah out.

August 10: Last day to submit stories, photos etc for 75th Anniversary Celebration on October 16.

August 14: Canal North Neighborhood Association Meeting, 10:30am, Parish Hall.

August 15: Feast of Mary, Mother of our Lord. Rev. Doris Nolan to preside. Tri-transition Team meeting with Transition Team, Call Committee, and Church Council, 1pm to 3pm in Parish Hall. (A previous version of this post stated that the meeting with Rev. Nolan would begin at 12pm, which is not true)

August 22: Rev. Jan Flaaten presiding.

August 29: Rev. Debra Slifer presiding.

September 7: RIC Churches & Pastors Meeting, 3:30pm. Executive Team Meeting, 6pm.

September 12: God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday.

September 14: Church Council Meeting.

September 19: Casey Goslin, leader of Phoenix Area Lutheran Youth (PhLY) will be sharing his time with us to discuss youth events in the area.
