Treasurer’s report
Financial reports would not be available for probably about another week due to being incomplete at this time with new system changes in place.
Payroll procedure is being updated and ought to be fully operational in about 6 weeks.
Property
There is a new Worship community that will use the Chapel space on Sundays at 11:00, beginning 03/06; this is MCC who identify as a GLBTQIA Christian Church and comes with the assistance of Pr. Stoney Bowen-Weiszmann.
Another Worship community is also wanting space and time accommodation here at Faith, so discussion included possibilities for storage and office space.
Plans are underway to improve the Faith Place bathroom facilities and add a laundry room. A Congregation member has donated the washer & dryer, THANK YOU!
The improvements will be done through the generous support of Community of Grace Lutheran Church, as they want to take part in our housing of refugees, and are located far from central Phoenix.
Rodents have chewed through the wiring for the PH dishwasher. Measures have been taken to stop the rodents, and the search is on for a replacement of the dishwasher.
Pastor Sarah’s report
Included the usual busy schedule of Pastoring here, and working with the Grand Canyon Synod on collaborating efforts.
She also noted that long interims historically have an effect of weaknesses in congregations.
She reports concern to get campus repairs and sprucing up in order to be attractive to new Pastor candidates.
The Call Committee has been diligent in their work and will be receiving candidate resumes soon; also, they have a new coach, Pr. Glen Zimbaldon.
Vicar Veronica’s last Sunday with Faith/La Fe will be 03/06, as the Candidacy team at GCS has recommended a new assignment for her to round out her educational experience in a different setting.
The request has been made to hold Vr. Veronica Alvarez’s Ordination at Faith when that event is possible.
