God's Work. Our Hands. September 10, 2017
Plan to join us for “God’s work. Our hands.” next Sunday, September 10!
A celebration of our ministry and who we are as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
We will kick the day off with a single, bilingual worship service beginning at 10am, followed by a spirited gathering of fun, food, conversation, our raffle drawing and the opening of our Reformation 500 Bookstore— an opportunity to purchase fascinating books on the Reformation for yourself and your family.
Our celebration will culminate with the sorting, ribbon tying, and packing of the diapers and sheets that we have collected for Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.
Cheryl Gollhardt has graciously taken on the role of coordinator for the food part of “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday. She’ll have sloppy joe sliders and potato chips, but we need members of the congrega- tion to bring salads, fruit plates, veggie trays and/or desserts. Food should be dropped off in the kitchen before the start of the 10am worship service. If your have questions, Cheryl can be reached at 623-977- 1129.
