“Living the Questions” Summer Series

SAVING JESUS -- A 12 week, DVD-based exploration of Jesus Christ for the third millennium; Pastor Renée Geiger

I realize that the title of this study sounds quite arrogant because Jesus doesn’t need saving, but I believe that our understanding of Jesus and who he was is a continuous growth process.

This summer series will feature leading religious voices of our day: John Dominic Crossan, Matthew Fox, Amy-Jill Levine, James Forbes and a host of others for a conversation around the relevance of Jesus Christ for today.

Don’t miss these forums! Since they are so thought provoking, we will also have an evening group discussion during the fall for those who wish to continue the conversation.

· Introduction: Jesus Through the Ages
· Who was Jesus?
· What Can We Know About Jesus (and How)?
· The World Into Which Jesus Was Born
· Jesus’ Birth: Incarnation
· Teachings of Jesus: Wisdom Tradition
· Jesus’ Program: The Kingdom of God
· Jesus’ Life: Model for Discipleship
· Killing Jesus, Part One: The Atonement
· Killing Jesus, Part Two: Who Killed Jesus?
· The Resurrection of Christ
· Why Jesus is Worth Saving

Tuesday Bible Study

Tuesday Bible Study is on hiatus until the Fall

Noisy Offering

The first Sunday of each month
Faith's Footsteps, our Sunday School, takes a special collection of 'change' after the worship service, the change 'clang noisily' into their cans. The offering is used to help people around the world who are in need.

Loose Change

Remember to drop your loose change into the Water Bottle in the narthex each Sunday.  People stop by the church office throughout the week who are hungry, thirsty or in need of transportation.  Your continued donations help our Response Team to supply water, snacks and bus tokens.
